Embark on an eco-adventure tour to Peterson’s Cay National Park on board Sunshine, a 45-foot motorized catamaran. Here, you’ll be briefed on safety instructions and snorkeling. Next, cruise along the shoreline to a shallow open coral reef, home to hundreds of colorful fish. You can lie right on the surface of the water and see a whole new world. After snorkeling at the reef, a short boat ride will bring you to the 1 1/2 acre island of Peterson’s Cay. Here you can sunbathe, swim, relax or even enjoy more snorkeling time on the sandy beach. Then, you’ll have lunch and witness a native conch cultural demonstration. Enjoy complimentary and unlimited Bahama Mama, sweetened ice tea and lemonade. Note: Participants must be at least 5 years of age, weigh no more than 300lbs. and in good health conditions. Guests must sign a waiver release form. Snorkel equipment is included. Lucayan Park encompasses 40 acres of mangrove swamps, sand dunes, broad beaches, limestone caves and a pine and palm forest. You’ll kayak in a protected creek through a mangrove forest for approximately 90 minutes and venture on a guided 1/4-mile, one-hour nature walk through Lucayan National Park. Visit caves and learn about the history of the original Bahamian people. Enjoy a swim and light lunch under shelter at beautiful Gold Rock Beach. Note: Participants must be at least 6 years of age and weigh no more than 300 lbs. Two-person kayaks are used. Please wear your swimsuit and bring a towel. Protected footwear such as tennis shoes are highly recommended, no flip-flops please. Water-safe storage bags are provided so you may bring your camera. On your tour into KSC, you'll have the chance to see Space Shuttle Launch Pads from the four-story Observation Gantry and the Apollo/Saturn V Center which offers an inspirational and exhilarating look into mankind's quest for the moon. There's a lot of activities offered at the Apollo/Saturn V Center, including reliving the historic launch of Apollo 8 at the Firing Room Theater; also, being able to marvel at a monstrous 363-foot Saturn V moon rocket. Pick and choose wisely since you won’t have time to see everything. Your options include seeing an IMAX® movie, the interactive Astronaut Encounter program or the Shuttle Launch Experience. Finally, your chance to be an astronaut! Note: Due to the highly secure status of KSC, anything remotely resembling a weapon, pocketknife, pepper spray, etc. won’t be permitted and will be confiscated. It’s new, it’s big; and it's fun for the entire family. Come play at Aquaventure, the centerpiece of the Atlantis Resort’s recent billion-dollar development. Containing over twenty million gallons of water, this non-stop water experience consists of thrilling new water slides, a mile-long river ride with high intensity rapids, wave surges, and never-before-seen special effects. The excursion also includes access to the huge, open-air marine habitat where you can find over 50,000 fascinating sea creatures. Whether you prefer a thrilling ride through a shark-filled pool or a gentle float on a never-ending lagoon, you'll find it at Atlantis. Note: Participants ages 3 or younger receive free admission if accompanied by a participating paying adult (parent or guardian at least 18 years of age). There is a considerable amount of walking on this tour (approximately 0.4 miles). Participants must be at least 48" tall to ride the water slides. Lounge chairs, towels and life jackets are provided. Non-motorized water sports are available for rent. Guests should bring a credit card for drink and food purchases. The transportation for this tour is by bus, approximately 25-minutes each way depending on traffic conditions. Guests participating on an Atlantis Shore Excursion must arrive at the place and time stated on the Shore Excursion ticket. Atlantis tour tickets will not be honored at the resort.
